Primary Area of Research: 

Improving the care of children who suffer from acute gastroenteritis:

1.  management of paediatric gastroenteritis - ondansetron & outcomes research
2.  Improving the management of paediatric gastroenteritis - rehydration
3.  Improving outcomes following discharge - predictors, probiotics and caregiver knowledge

Through the conduct of collaborative, multidisciplinary, multi-centre research and translation of the knowledge gained into improved clinical care, the  goals are to develop and ensure that children receive the best available evidence-based care for the treatment of a very common acute childhood illness.
