Research Activities: 

Dr. Gina Dimitropoulos is an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary.  Her area of expertise include research on ecological factors that influence psychosocial  trajectories of adolescents and transition age youth with mental illnesses. She works collaboratively with national and international colleagues to examine the effectiveness of interventions for adolescents with eating disorders and their families.  Dr. Dimitropoulos is also examining the impact of family meal patterns and food security issues on health mental health of children and adolescents. She is also working closely with several programs to identify patterns of health and mental health utilization of transition age youth with mental illnesses.
