Research Activities: 

Dr. Kelly Dean Schwartz studies a wide array of ecologies that contribute to the social development of children, youth, and families. His research includes exploring the intersection of media and adolescent personality, parent and peer contributions to adolescent faith development, family strength indicators, developmental assets contributing to risk and thriving outcomes in various populations (e.g., urban youth, aboriginal youth, international samples), personal and social moderators of cyberbullying and cyber-aggression victimization, individual and social strengths of children and youth in military families, and attachment styles and social provisions from parents and friends that contribute to identity development, emotional regulation, and autonomy in early school-age, adolescent, and emerging adult populations.
