Undergraduate funding opportunities
Description: Internal award for ACHRI Supervisors, open to undergraduate trainees of ACHRI members. Non-UCalgary student applicants are eligible.
Amount: $1,000 per month from ACHRI plus a minimum of $500 per month from the supervisor, for 2 – 4 months (May – August)
Due date: Student submission deadline: Friday, February 4, 2022, 4 PM (MT); Supervisor submission deadline: Friday, February 11, 2022, 4 PM (MT).
Description: For undergraduate student to participate in medical or health-related research at the University during the summer months.
Amount: Students will receive a stipend of $1,875 per month for 8, 12, or 16 weeks. The studentship must be held during the period of May to August.

Description: Branch Out Foundation Undergraduate Grant is a summer research studentship opportunity for NeuroCAM studies at partnering Universities.
Amount: up to $7,000 for May-August period, with the student's academic supervisor contributing 40% of the salary value (i.e. $2800).
Due date: January 14, 2022, 11:59 PM MST
Description: Funding for University of Calgary undergraduates to conduct research for 8, 12 or 16 weeks between May and August.
Amount: 16-week awards are in the amount of $7,500, 12-week awards in the amount of $5,625, and 8-week awards in the amount of $3,750.
Date due: Student application deadline is Feb. 4, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. MST
Description: Funding for undergraduate students of the Bachelor of Neuroscience Program.
Amount: $750 per month from BSc Neuroscience plus a minimum of $750 per month from student's supervisor.
Due date: Early March 2022
Description: Funding for undergraduate students to work with a University of Calgary Supervisor that holds an active NSERC grant.
Amount: NSERC contributes $6,000 towards the student stipend & supervisor provides a mandatory supplement (top-up) of at least $1,500 for a duration of 16-weeks.
Due date: Late January
Description: Funding for undergraduate students of the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program.
Amount: $1,500/month with possibility of supervisor top-up, duration: 2-4 month awards, May-August.
Due date: Early February, using common application (AIHS, ACF, ATI, PURE, OCSS)
Description: summer research studentships are available through the Biomedical Engineering Calgary initiative and several funding partners across campus. Studentships are open to all undergraduates.
Amount: The BME Summer Studentship is valued at $7500 to align with NSERC and PURE, with 1/3 ($2500 each) coming from BME, funding partner (department, institute), and supervisor.
