Access

To access BioCORE services, please contact the Lab Manager (see contact information) to discuss your project needs, including: 

  • Required services 

  • Study timeline 

  • Enrollment targets 

Researchers are encouraged to engage with the BioCORE early in the planning process, such as during: 

  • Grant application development 

  • REB application preparation 

BioCORE Policies

  • The BioCORE operates on a cost-recovery basis 
  • REB approval documentation must be provided before sample handling can begin. 
  • Research study samples remain 100% owned by the investigator. 

  • At study completion, discussion can be had regarding long term storage, destroying remaining samples, or transfer of samples to the BioCORE. 

  • High quality, monitored, -80oC Freezers are located in a secure card access-controlled area 
  • Access to freezers and sample tracking database is restricted to authorized BioCORE staff 
  • A Service pricing sheet is available upon request
