Biobanking Services

The BioCORE offers comprehensive biobanking support. 

Core Services 

  • Basic sample handling, including centrifugation, incubation, and aliquoting

  • Advanced sample processing, such as PBMC isolation and RNA/DNA extraction

  • Sample barcoding and storage, including: 

    • -80 °C freezers

    • Limited liquid nitrogen storage

    • Secure, robust cataloguing using Freezerworks software

  • Sample shipment, with a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) in place

Flexible & Study-Specific Support 

The BioCORE maintains established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for common sample handling and processing. 

These protocols can be adapted to meet the specific requirements of your study, ensuring flexibility while maintaining high-quality standards.

BioRad BioPLEX

Multiplex Immunoassay

The BioCORE provides advanced multiplex immunoassay capabilities, enabling the simultaneous measurement of multiple analytes from a single sample. 

Capabilities 

  • Runs a broad range of validated assay panels based on Luminex xMAP® technology using the Bio-Plex 200 system instrument. 

  • Provides support with kit selection and vendor customization 

Data Delivery 

All results are returned to researchers for downstream analysis.

The BioCORE provides reliable ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) testing with commercially available kits using the Tecan Infinite® 200 PRO microplate reader.
