The Owerko Centre
A team of researchers at the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute dedicated to the study of neurodevelopmental disorders and the improvement of child mental health.
Understanding neurodevelopment, neurodevelopmental disorders, and child mental health requires collaboration, coordination and a multidisciplinary team science approach. Through research, education and community engagement, the Owerko Centre brings together multiple parallel efforts and serves as a multidisciplinary research hub with a broad translational focus on neurodevelopment, child mental health, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

The Owerko Centre has a growing community of 50+ members representing nearly all UCalgary faculties including the Cumming School of Medicine, Werklund School of Education and Faculties of Arts, Science, Kinesiology, Nursing and Social Work.
