These seminars allow presenters to refine their presentation style and enhance their ability to communicate their research effectively to audiences outside their field. Feedback from trainees of all levels is highly valuable and encouraged. And yes, coffee and snacks will be provided to all attendees!

ACHRITA Research In Progress Seminars
This series is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to present their research and gain feedback on their projects. Attending the seminar series will allow you to gain new perspectives and knowledge from a diverse range of research topics! We strongly encourage all trainees to participate, whether as presenters or attendees.
Are you planning on attending in person or via Zoom? These seminars are provided in a hybrid format. Pizza will be provided.
These seminars will be held regularly on the first Thursday of each month from 12 - 1 pm and will begin at Foothills Campus, alternating between Alberta Childrens Hospital.
Interested in presenting at RIP? Any graduate student is welcome to present, please check if it is a degree requirement. Presenters must attend in person.

Pediatric Health and Neurodevelopment Journal Club
Review clinical, basic, and translational research studies aimed at better understanding child development and improving the health and wellness of children living with neurodevelopmental disorders using innovative technologies such as neuroimaging, brain stimulation, robotics, machine learning, computational neuroscience, neurological/psychiatric applications in a clinical setting, etc. The journal club is open to all undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral fellows interested in pediatric health and neurodevelopment.
Alternating Thursday from 12 - 1 pm.

Developmental Neuroimaging Journal Club
The Developmental Neuroimaging Journal Club focuses on the healthy development of the human brain, developmental disorders, and intervention studies conducted using neuroimaging techniques in a paediatric population. The club emphasizes the use of neuroimaging to produce an understanding of developmental trajectories and how changes in the brain may underlie important topics in mental health.
Every other Wednesday from 10 - 11 am.

ACTION Journal Club
The ACTION Journal Club promotes knowledge dissemination between individuals with an interest in pediatric and adult cancer immunology and immunotherapy.
Monthly on Mondays from 3 - 4 pm in HSC1500 and on Zoom.

Science Writing Journal Club
We cover a wide variety of topics to help improve your science writing abilities. Every session we have fun presentations, workshops, and more...This year we will be focussing on lay abstracts, grant applications, article writing, pop science writing, social media, and many others! We are excited to welcome speakers from other faculties and programs as well.

Join us monthly for a postdoc-only coffee morning!
We host drop-in coffee and snacks for ACHRI-affiliated postdocs, alternating between Foothills Campus and Alberta Children's Hospital
On the 3rd Friday of every month from 10 - 11 am.
ACHRITA is a volunteer association comprised of ACHRI and Owerko Centre trainees and postdoctoral fellows. Their work is supported by generous community donations through the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation.
