  1. ACHRI STEP Support for CCHCSP Applications

ACHRI STEP provides application support and matching funds for CCHCSP salary awards (i.e., doctoral and fellowship awards) through the established IPR process:

    1. Trainees applying for CCHCSP salary awards (doctoral or fellowship), please email a letter to ACHRI STEP and Centre co-leaders (Dr. Marinka Twiltand Dr. Brian Brooks), indicating your intent to apply to CCHCSP and request for the institutional match (if required). Candidates please append a draft of your full CCHCSP application and a summary of your research proposal, for IRP purposes. Please submit your letter and the supporting documents well in advance of the CCHCSP deadline. Centre co-leaders may also book a meeting with the candidate to discuss the application.

    2. ACHRI STEP provides preliminary feedback to the candidate. After revisions are made, the trainee sends the revised copy of the application draft to the assigned reviewers recruited by ACHRI STEP.

    3. While the application draft is in review, ACHRI STEP prepares a letter of support for the institutional match.

    4. The candidate receives the reviewer comments and makes final revisions.

    5. The candidate sends to the Centre co-Leaders the final draft of the application and the letter from ACHRI STEP for final review and approval from the co-Leaders at least two weeks prior to the CCHCSP deadline.

    6. NOTE: It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that all required documents are submitted to relevant parties in advance, in order to meet the CCHCSP deadlines.
