ACHRI Graduate Scholarship
- Eligibility: Open to trainees of ACHRI members.
- Award Amount:
- Master's students (domestic): $15,000 per year for two years from ACHRI plus $10,000 per year from the supervisor;
- Master's students (international): $16,000 per year for two years from ACHRI plus $10,000 per year from the supervisor;
- PhD students (domestic): $17,000 per year for two years from ACHRI plus $10,000 per year from the supervisor;
- PhD students (international): $18,000 per year for two years plus $10,000 per year from the supervisor.

ACHRI Postdoctoral Fellowship
- Eligibility: Open to trainees of ACHRI members.
- Award Amount: $35,000 per year for two years from ACHRI, plus $25,000 per year from the supervisor.

Haslam Clinical Research Fellowship in Child Brain Health - COMPETITION CLOSED
This award is made possible through the Dr. Robert Haslam Chair Endowment. This Fellowship was created to advance research, create new knowledge, and inspire future leaders in child brain health.

Charlie Fischer Fellowship in Advancing Patient- and Family-Centered Research - COMPETITION CLOSED
This award is made possible through a gift honouring Mr. Charlie Fischer by Randy and Claudia Findlay – matched by the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
- Eligibility: Open to trainees (postdoctoral scholars or clinical research fellows/ PGME fellows) of ACHRI members. Applicants external to UCalgary are welcome to apply.
- Award Amount: Min. $60,000 for one year, plus $5,000 research allowance.

ACHRI Clinical Research Fellowship
- Eligibility: Open to trainees of ACHRI members. Candidates for the ACHRI Clinical Research Fellowship may be medical residents and fellows pursuing research training.

Dawson Jarock Vasculitis Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Rheumatology
This position is made possible by the Dawson Jarock Research Award in Pediatric Nephrology & Rheumatology through the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and ACHRI. The Muhlenfeld/Jarock family supports this Award and have supported the annual Calgary Vasculitis Symposium for the past 10 years. Participation in research focusing on vasculitis is a key element of the fellowship.
- Eligibility: Open to trainees (clinical research fellows/ PGME fellows) to be supervised, upon arrival, by an ACHRI member. Candidates should have formal training in Pediatric Rheumatology or Pediatric Nephrology.
- Award Amount: One-year clinical research fellowship

ACHRI Trainee Travel Award
- Eligibility: Open to trainees of ACHRI members. Internal travel awards are available to graduate or postdoctoral trainees presenting their research at a conference. Master’s and postdoctoral trainees are eligible for one travel award during the course of their program; PhD trainees are eligible for two travel awards during the course of their program.

ACHRI Trainee Research Visits
- Eligibility: Open to trainees of ACHRI members. Internal travel award offered to eligible trainees wishing to travel to attend an external course or workshop or to visit a partnering research group to learn practical techniques or collaborate in ongoing studies.
- Award Amount: $1,000 - $2,000

ACHRI Visiting Speaker/ External Examiner Funding
- Eligibility: Open to ACHRI members who are inviting a visiting scholar to present a seminar to ACHRI members and trainees. This funding is also available to ACHRI members whose PhD students have scheduled their thesis defense. External examiner must present a seminar during their visit.
- Award Amount: up to $1,500 per visit

The Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program (CCHCSP) is a transdisciplinary training program for the next generation of clinician-scientists in child and youth health research in Canada. CCHCSP provides support for these highly qualified child health clinician candidates to develop their requisite knowledge and skills for a career as an independent scientist in child health research.
