AVA (Alliance Against Violence and Adversity) receives funding from CIHR's Pan-Canadian Women's Health Coalition

Dr. Nicole Letourneau's CIHR-funded health research training platform selected as one of 10 virtual Pan-Canadian Women’s Health Coalition Hubs created by National Women’s Health Research Initiative

In addition to the honour of becoming a fellow of The Royal Society of Canada, Dr. Nicole Letourneau also added another grant to her arsenal in late August. Her AVA (Alliance Against Violence and Adversity) CIHR-funded Health Research Training Platform has been selected as one of 10 virtual Pan-Canadian Women’s Health Coalition Hubs created by National Women’s Health Research Initiative.

The Alliance Against Violence and Adversity [AVA] Affecting Girls, Women, and Gender-Diverse People: National Health Hub for Knowledge Mobilization and Exchange will establish the AVA Women's Health Hub to mobilize/scale-up newly generated and existing knowledge and models of practice to advance more equitable, culturally safe, holistic health care and access to care for girls, women and gender-diverse people affected by violence and adversity.
