Call for Abstracts - Verbatim’s annual research symposium is coming up once more. This is an annual conference that Verbatim hosts for undergraduate students to present research in a supportive and informal environment. This event will be an inclusive, diverse academic conference to foster an environment of inclusivity between students and professors. This event is aimed at facilitating opportunities for students to showcase their research and practice their presentation skills — it’s also a great chance to find out more about doing research at the undergraduate level. Moreover, we seek to foster connections between our school members and other faculties (e.g., Psychology Department), which aligns with Verbatim’s mission of inclusion.

Organization of this event will be done by Verbatim, so all presenters have to do is prepare their research to present. Faculty and students are also encouraged to simply attend and listen! If this sounds like something you or others you know might benefit from or be interested in, you can send your abstract and a proposal of your lecture to our email: verbatim@ucalgary.ca. Submission deadline is March 8th, at midnight, so there’s still lots of time to sign up! If you have any questions regarding this event, you are more than welcome to also contact us at the email above. We hope to see you there!

Colloquium date: March 26, 2021  |  10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (via Zoom)

Abstract: 1 page, max. 250 words (references not included in word count). Indicate your preferred time slot(s) for the date and time above. Presentation should be about 10-15 minutes, anything language related!
